Metallica shared a video with Ukrainian bandura player Taras Stolyar on their Instagram
The band's
Instagram page published a cover of Nothing Else Matters performed by Honored Artist of Ukraine and military member of the 112th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Taras Stolyar.
Stolyar is a member of the "Cultural Forces" - a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine consisting of seven professional musicians who now serve in Ukraine. The organization conducts charity music tours. During the last one in the USA, Ukrainian military artists gave 170 concerts in two months.
We recently learned of Cultural Forces, the cultural arm of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, through our own James Hetfield. @culturalforces.international features seven world-class artists, all professional musicians before the war who are now active-duty soldiers.
The group just completed a 170-show tour of gratitude in the United States. Seen here, Taras Stoliar (Honored Artist of Ukraine/PFC, Reconnaissance Operative, 112th Separate Brigade, Territorial Defense Forces) plays “Nothing Else Matters” on a 62-string bandura, a traditional Ukrainian folk instrument. With the conclusion of this tour, he is now returning to Ukraine, back to the front
