Formed in 2018 amid Portland, Oregon’s chilly haze, Ravine emerged from the shared vision of guitarists Nico Schmutz (Robots of the Ancient World) and Justin Morgan (SkullDozer), who bonded over their love of heavyweights like Down, Corrosion of Conformity and Eyehategod. With a handful of riffs in hand, they swiftly rounded out the lineup with drummer Matt Amott (Wölflaut) and bassist Dylan Wills (Brick Bath), releasing their self-titled debut EP with original vocalist Daren Ford before his departure in late 2020. In March 2022, Ravine found their new voice in Paul Dudziak (Mammoth Salmon), setting the stage for their next chapter.
