S.P.Q.R. was recorded on February 3, 2024, at Rome's Sala Sinopoli, marking Steve Hogarth's return to the city for his first live show there in eight years. Once again, he was accompanied by Italian progressive band RanestRane, who provided acoustic instrumentation with harp, mandolin, harmonium and tablas. For this show, they were also joined by the Flowing Chords choir. In a uniquely intimate and atmospheric setting, he reimagines Marillion classics and solo material through cinematic arrangements.
