Returning to a more direct, powerful rock style after their progressive era, Birth Control didn't chase trends - even with the rise of Neue Deutsche Welle and synth-pop. Instead, they stayed true to their roots. Frenzel's lyrics dive deep into dystopian themes, visually echoed by the album's iconic cover: an atomic blast under Marilyn Monroe's skirt. Ignored at the time, today 'Bäng' is a fan-favorite cult classic - finally restored in all its raw, rebellious glory.
