After 18 years as the drummer of Slipknot, Joey Jordison parted ways with the seminal American metal band and started VIMIC from the pieces of his former side project, Scar the Martyr. Along with Scar mates Jed Simon (guitar), Kyle Konkiel (bass), Matthew Tarach (keyboards), and Kris Norris (guitar), Jordison recruited Kalen Chase as the vocalist for the new group.
Open Your Omen is the 15-song debut album recorded in Joey Jordison's home and Sound Farm Studios in Jamaica, Iowa. Fans of both VIMIC and Joey have been requesting its release ever since VIMIC's last tour in 2017.
